It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.  The purpose of the meme is to discuss books we are reading this week, as well as books we completed the previous week.

Books I Completed Last Week:
Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James: Ugh.  Ugh.  Ugh.  Review to come.
Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen: I don’t know why I had never read this one before, but I loved it quite a bit. Quiet, contemplative, and sweet.
The List by Siobhan Vivian: I loved this one.  Loved. It.  Review to come.

Books I’m Reading this Week:
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin: I’m really enjoying this one, but it’s massive, and it’ll be a while before I get through it.
Fifty Shades Darker by E L James: I don’t know why I’m continuing to read these books.  I don’t…I don’t.

What are you reading this week?

  1. Great read for you… I’m reading The five greatest warriors by Mathew Reilly… a sequel to Seven ancient wonders and the six sacred stones… I love treasure hunting based on real events and old myths… its kinda like Lord of the rings of the modern world… A relic to save the world or destroy it… who will win… i’ll try not to spoil it when i’m done

    1. Shades of Grey is the book that’s essentially Twilight fan fiction with the names changed. It was originally published on the fan fiction boards.

I didn’t love Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children–I’d be interested to hear your take on it.

  2. “Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James: Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Review to come.”

Yeah, that’s what I was afraid of. I’m staying away from this one but look forward to your review.

    1. If you decide to read a Dessen novel, I recommend starting with The Truth About Forever or Just Listen. Those are my favorites.
