It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. The purpose of the meme is to discuss books we are reading this week, as well as books we completed the previous week.
Books I Completed Last Week:
Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James: Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Review to come.
Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen: I don’t know why I had never read this one before, but I loved it quite a bit. Quiet, contemplative, and sweet.
The List by Siobhan Vivian: I loved this one. Loved. It. Review to come.

Books I’m Reading this Week:
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin: I’m really enjoying this one, but it’s massive, and it’ll be a while before I get through it.
Fifty Shades Darker by E L James: I don’t know why I’m continuing to read these books. I don’t…I don’t.
What are you reading this week?

Great read for you… I’m reading The five greatest warriors by Mathew Reilly… a sequel to Seven ancient wonders and the six sacred stones… I love treasure hunting based on real events and old myths… its kinda like Lord of the rings of the modern world… A relic to save the world or destroy it… who will win… i’ll try not to spoil it when i’m done
Is the Shades of Grey series the one that’s touted as The New Twilight?
I’m reading Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children. Fantastic writing style!
Shades of Grey is the book that’s essentially Twilight fan fiction with the names changed. It was originally published on the fan fiction boards.
I didn’t love Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children–I’d be interested to hear your take on it.
“Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James: Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Review to come.”
Yeah, that’s what I was afraid of. I’m staying away from this one but look forward to your review.
It was so bad. Review should be up on Thursday!
I’ve heard great things about Sarah Dessen – I really should pick up some of her books. I’m not so sure about the Fifty Shades of Grey books either – everyone either loves them or hates them.
Have a great week!
Kristin @ Always With a Book
If you decide to read a Dessen novel, I recommend starting with The Truth About Forever or Just Listen. Those are my favorites.
Great week!!!!! My daughter loves Sarah Dessen.
Happy Reading!!
Shades of Grey – Hate to love it and I love to hate it. It’s addicting but its like chocolate. You know its bad for you but ooooo its sooo tasty
Happy reading this week!
It’s Monday! What are you reading at the Brunette Librarian!
The problem is that chocolate actually has some health benefits. 50 Shades of Grey–not so much.
