2011 Reading Goals
At the beginning of the year, I posted my reading goals for the upcoming year. I meant to do a check-in at the end of June, but I didn’t, so I’m doing one now. Here are the goals I set forth and where I stand with each of them:
- I will read (at least) 100 books. (105/100)
- I will not reread any books (this does not count books that I started previously and then abandoned), with the possible exception of the Harry Potter series, which I re-read every summer (we’ll see how it goes). (All books read have been new reads)
- At least 10 books (roughly one book per month) must have been published before 1950. (1/10)
- I will read at least 10 books featuring POC. (7/10)
- At least 10 books will be nonfiction. (10/10)
I came across your site doing random google searches for a TV show I couldn’t recall the name for, and got distracted reading it. Your randomness is very interesting. Thank you for the distraction.
You’ve also made me wonder why I’ve never put goals into writting and checklists to work myself through.
